Dr. Sonya Shafique is a New England native with a deep commitment to thoughtful, precise dentistry. She completed her dental training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she was selected during her final year to pursue advanced education in implant surgery, prosthetics, and digital technology for restoring missing teeth.

Upon graduating, Dr. Shafique received awards for both academic excellence and clinical excellence from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

She continued her training in Manhattan, completing a general practice residency at NewYork Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine, followed by an advanced continuing education program focused on dental implant surgery. In 2024, she was awarded Associate Fellowship status by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and earned the designation of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Shafique maintains active involvement with the American Dental Association, International Team for Implantology, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics. She also serves as a Key Opinion Leader for a leading dental implant company, collaborating with clinicians and engineers to advance implant technology and treatment outcomes.

She values dentistry as the intersection of art and medicine and is passionate about helping patients reach their personal goals in a calm, pain free, and supportive environment.

Outside the office, Dr. Shafique enjoys snowboarding at Sunday River, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with her favorite dentist, Dr. Donohue.
